Went to Brother’s head office for a demo this morning, and immediately headed to the dealer to get this BABY.
I won’t say I haven’t thought about buying a new machine, but it’s just that I haven’t thought about buying it as much as I expected to have thought about buying before I bought :p Haha…
Boy I sure have a lot to learn… upgrading from this old mama to this new baby sure made me realise that I have a huge “sewing machine generation gap” to close.
Old mama needs a rest, she’s been needing service more often than usual… but still reliable when you need her.
Now, the new babe in town is all set and ready to rat-a-tat-tat! Looks like I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon learning how to rat-a-tat-tatting!!
I’m so happy. Hope you have a fun creative wonderful weekend too!
my newest addition to the sewing basket…
1 for my cuz Annette, 1 for me…
It’s amazing how a little something like a spanking brand new rotary cutter can make my day.
Here’s a peek on what I’ve been making the last weeks…
2 cell phone pouches… fits Nokia E71 perfectly.
A Rosary for my Godma… a custom gift requested by my God Sis for her Mom for Mother’s Day this May.
About 2 weeks ago, don’t know what’s got into his head. The dear dog decided to leave his mark on a whole bag of fabric. So laundry day it was… just love the way these fabric sway in the warm breeze. Took only an hour for them to dry in this heat!
See the pink mushroom quilt at the back? I bought this in Bangkok (queen size) for only USD 5. Cool eh??
Speaking of Scout, we went to the vet during the weekend for his annual jab. He got irritated when the vet tried to check his ears with the “ear tool” and almost grab her hands in his jaw. Scout doesn’t bite. But when he doesn’t like what you’re doing to him, he grabs your hands in his jaw… well, his jaw is his hands afterall… it could be scary for someone who doesn’t know him though.. hahaha…
Meanwhile, I have 2 new favourite tv series ~ Mercy and NCIS L.A. Yay! Now I have a reason to stay home on Tuesday nights.
Ok. Will stop here for now. Later alligator !
finally ready to be sent out…
to 3 very special persons…
Thanks for your patience, I’m sorry I took so long.
I hope you like what is inside.
Lately, I have not really been crafting much. Some odds and ends here and there… sometimes just so my brains register I have MADE something. 😛 It’s funny isn’t it… how we crafters just need to MAKE something.
With all the tiresome brain work activities at work, I destressed by spending money on haberdashery items. Just to share some…
I got most of them from Bangkok 2 weekends ago, while some are from my local haberdashery shop. Yes, even with holidaying in Bangkok, I seek out hobby shops and fabric shops just so I can spend lots of money 😛 hahaha…
This is becoming a very bad habit. “Control yourself girl!! “
Meanwhile, I am planning for another giveaway… some miscellaneous this and that from my ever growing stash of haberdashery… I just need some time to sort them out… Have a happy Sunday !
Hello! I’m back… my efford to avoid blogging for a while has made me want to blog even more. Busy times at the office is not over yet. More to come everyday (unfortunately :-P), thus my crafting got left behind.
First and foremost, just a few catch up notes…
A while back, I joined this Spring Fling Challenge (no, I didn’t forget about it…) and I’m happy to tell you that I manage to clear off 100 item! Yay! Coincidently, my Mom was also on an Easter Charity Challenge where she challenged herself to giveaway as many things as possible to charity for Easter. I am proud to say.. that I have given away loads of old books, extra stationeries, clothes that don’t fit me anymore, shoes… even some stuff from my kitchen like an extra oven, toaster and rice cooker! It such a wonderful feeling to be giving away to the needy… but the challenging part was that during the “decision making” process, I am always torn between my “posessive hoarder self” and “generous self”. It’s a tough process. I have not stopped here, I’m currently cleaning the other half of my wardrobe and attic… so perhaps more to giveaway?
Second update is about my little birds.
I mentioned that I was going to put these up for sale in my Etsy shop. That did not happen. I did make more, but in the end they were given away as gifts instead.
Third update… was that I won this (the most left one) and with that came a surprise gift from my friend Jace. She makes pretty stuff with yarns. And each creation comes with much thought and love from her. Thank you Jace! If you would like to own one of her beautiful pieces, hop over to Jace’s etsy shop here.
Well, that’s it for now… I’m going to spend some time in front of the tv :-P. Cheers to you all !
