Green Flower Clutch / Wrist-let

I made this a couple of days ago on a whim. I’m a sucker for flower prints and couldn’t help myself when I saw this wonderful flower printed cloth at IKEA.

This is my second attempt in making pleats and I am quite happy with how it turned out.

I made a little strap on one – allows me to put my wrist through to carry it around (hehehe… hence the wrist-let part). But upon trying it out during a little shopping escapade, I felt that it would be better as a clutch.

This clutch has a zip which is really handy when I’m holding it by the strap.

All in all, I’m quite happy with the end product.


New Fabric, Fabric Ink and Drawstrings

I am so happy. Our local craft shop has a SALE on fabric ink so we got some for ourselves! Now, I just can’t wait for my new Whimsy Loft stamp to arrive! Quick!!!!!  I want to stamp stamp stamp stamp!!!

Here, I share with you my fabric cupboard. There are more than 100 different type. Almost all of them are Cotton and Cotton-blend. I just love working with cotton! There’s also quite a bit of Felt. Felt is great to make embellishments.

Sharing Fabric

I made these drawstring bags while I was accompanying Mom in the hospital last month. Long cold nights… so I kept myself busy sewing these drawstrings. I’m glad we both only had to be there for 1 night ;-)

This I love. Made of pretty Japanese cotton, 100% handsewn. Lightly paded with iron on inter-lining. It’s sturdy and yet light.

Sweet Ribbons Tote.

Sweet Ribbons Tote 1

The sweetness of the ribbon prints on Chinese cotton is accentuated by the white lace and pink satin ribbon. This tote is paded with a thin layer of sponge, to give it shape and protect your item. I made this with the intention to carry a laptop. I cannot decide now, whether to put her up in Etsy or keep her for myself ~ just right for me to tug my laptop inside and head down to my favourite Starbucks!
