The past weeks has been crazy! Filled with preparing for this very very important presentation for my day job ~ the BIG DAY is tomorrow. Fingers cross, that the “panel of judges” approve us to present our strategy to the board… this will bring a lot of savings to the category *fingers cross…please please please*

Back to some lighter {and craftier} subject, I’ve been making lots and lots and LOTS of my kawaii sticker tapes!!! Love them, and they are easy to make.

Meanwhile, I haven’t stop my “spring cleaning” yet… it has been going slow, a little at a time… and before I could finish another section of my room, I’ve managed to mess up the one I cleared earlier *hah!*

But something good came out of this… I will soon have a “jumble sale” online… of all the unused goodies I have been stashing in my craft room !!! How about that? Look out for it ya…

Ones upon a time, there was a dog… Snoopy-lookalike-dog and a Pink-eye-rims-bird. They are good friends, and want to visit the Calendar Twin Tower.

So off they went to ask Scout, the guardian to the calendar world… “Scout!” called Snoopy-lookalike-dog.

“Huh?”… Scout said. Surprise that sock toys can speak !

“ok ok… go ahead lah… visit the tower”…

So happy Snoopy-lookalike-dog and Pink-eye-rims-bird hop off to the twin tower wonderland.

I made them using baby socks.

They have suctioncaps attached to the end of the string.

My intention is to hang these little birds on the car windows. But you can hang them on any glass windows too… or get creative and hang them anywhere you like (above baby prams, or baby car seats, in the closet, etc.)

Aren’t they cute?

I love the way their tail turned out. It is the difficult part to make.

I’m making more of these… as Easter gifts, and I want to list them in my shop too. Look out for them in my etsy shop ya… It will be going really cheap, only USD$7.50 for a pair of them . Coming soon!

These are what I made last night… see I get more productive when the heat is down. Yesterday (and today, thank goodness…) was so much cooler than the days before. The sun has decided to lessen her wrath and have mercy on beings like me… haha!

Two hankerchief for babies. I embellish a tiger (because this year is the year of the Tiger). And the tail is made of cotton string which I covered with embroidery thread, and made a loop at the edge so it can be a hanger.

One more owl. This time using grey socks. My dad’s socks hehe… isn’t he cute? He is very small, only palm size. I use 1/3 of the socks. I have a Tutorial HERE is you want to make one too !

I made 2, one for my sister, and one for myself. Below is for my sister. It is reversible!

A while ago, I made some felt softie.

Today, I’m going to share it with you…

They come in pairs, so it’s great as a Valentine gift.

Coincidently this year, Chinese New Year falls on Valentine’s Day. Yippie! We get “extra” celebration… I haven’t even done my Chinese New Year shopping. Lots of drinks and beer and titbits to buy. Didn’t even order any new year cookies (looks like I have to either make my own, or buy factory processed…). Lots of “sengkuang” to buy to make the traditional Hokkien “Jiu Hu Char”… and I haven’t even started shopping! OMGoodness!!!

Rambo Giraffe looks very rainbow-ish … I just love his colour. Notice he has no eyes… That’s because I ran out of glue… Otherwise he would have 2 large oggling eyes… now he is as blind as a bat, but not for long . Maybe I should just embroidery his eyes, it’s safer for kids that way.

Another of my sock-cutting endeavour brought this little monster to life.

I’m happy to share my way of making sock softie…  I just cannot decide which one to write a tutorial for ???

Meanwhile, last week I found some cute little unused socks in my wardrobe… I can’t believe I have so many socks when I don’t wear except for travel, and I have separate sport socks for gym. What do I need so many socks for??!!

So… what do I do with them?…

I made this after reading half a dozen of doll tutorials. And finally settled for drawing and cutting out my own pattern. I guess it’s sorta original but I admit I borrow heavily from Martha Steward Black Apple Doll (although I didn’t touch the free pattern they provided).

Dolly Charmaine’s face and hair are made of felt & embroidery. The hands, legs and dress/body are made of calico and cotton. Insides… non-allergic polyfill .

I just had to embroider my initial “G” on Dolly’s palm. And on her chest, is the baby girl’s name “Charmaine”.

They can be used for just about anything. As deco tape, for scrapbookings, as a seal to gift wrappings, seal to envelopes, etc.

This is a self-made sticker tape. I used kawaii printed papers, make strips and turn them into stickers!

I’ve been busy making some Christmas-sy stuff… and this is just one of them. I want to give them away as free gifts and also keep a few for my Christmas tree. I have a very small tree at home, so she don’t need much ornaments.

 I handcarved the Snowflake and chopped it on white cotton using Fabric Ink.  These days I’m starting to enjoy rubber carving .

I know I haven’t mentioned anything about my ArtFire shop… mainly because I hardly list items there. But I do sometimes . The products are the same as in my Etsy.

We had a visitor today. He came 3 times today to visit my dogs. How I know it’s a “he” is because he did his “manly leg-up” thing on my car tyres!
