Oh! Charmaine…
Here’s the little doll I whipped up for my cousin’s little girl.
I made this after reading half a dozen of doll tutorials. And finally settled for drawing and cutting out my own pattern. I guess it’s sorta original but I admit I borrow heavily from Martha Steward Black Apple Doll (although I didn’t touch the free pattern they provided).
Dolly Charmaine’s face and hair are made of felt & embroidery. The hands, legs and dress/body are made of calico and cotton. Insides… non-allergic polyfill

I just had to embroider my initial “G” on Dolly’s palm. And on her chest, is the baby girl’s name “Charmaine”.
Hearts to You!
Been to the doctor and back. Had this numbness in my left arm… panicked so I rushed to the GP… but it was nothing… just too much computer work… Doc did some test and said it should heal in a few days. Pheewww…
But that didn’t stop me from sewing .

Huge… larger than palm size.
Last but not least… I bought these kitchen towels in Giant yesterday. I have a great idea on what to do with them… but at the moment it’s WIP… when it’s done I’ll make another post .
Pom-pom Box
I like the mix of felt with cotton fabric. I use Chinese cotton with floral print on the outside, and the cover and inside of box is done up with polyester felt. Sewn a little fluffy pom-pom as the handle.
This will not be put up for sale, because it’s MINE!
But I can make more… when the mood hits!
