The layer cake I mentioned I was baking then…

My sister said “macam factory” (like a factory) at work. Hehe…

Then after this cake was completed, we decided that we should make another cake – a simple one – Butter Cake with Choco Chips! Yum!

Well, factory closed past midnight last night. It was all worthy.

Not much of sewing was done – just one (will share later), but I manage to do quite a lot of cooking. I made Assam (Tamarind) Prawns just 2 days ago, but I don’t have a photo for it. Was too excited to dig in and wallop the prawns Yesterday I made Wholemeal pancakes. Also no photos.

This morning, I decided to make Churros for breakfast. Recipe from here. I saw it on AFC (Asian Food Channel) and it looked easy enough to make.

Turned out good ! Slightly on the sweet side which I don’t prefer, but overall it is yummy!

My Churros turned out VERY crispy because I use a very small piping tip – which is the only one I had.

Ritter Sport is one of my favourite chocolate brands. I bought these when I was visiting Germany last year end. Kept them like treasure in my fridge Finally, I had to eat them before they get expire.

They are so affordable overseas… barely MYR5. In Malaysia, we get them in duty free in the airport for MYR9, or MYR7 in duty free states like Langkawi. Not many places sells them. In Village Grocer (aka the expatriate grocery shops.. expensive! MYR 13) on occasions we can find them. That being said, it is also hard to find a variety of flavours. These winter range cannot be found in Malaysia.

Ok. The reason for this random post is because I tried editing this photo in pixlr express. As we all know picnik is closing very very soon… like this Thursday *sad*… so this pixlr express is the most recommended replacement. Frankly, I don’t know why they have to shut down picnik. I don’t know what I will do if flickr decides to close too

I have been MIA (missing in action) lately, due to work commitments and just being brain dead after that.

I have been continuing with my “spring cleaning” though, albeit not as I planned i.e. one thing a day. I spent last Wednesday and half of Thursday (yesterday) cleaning the whole day away. It was to catch up after lasping for a few days (notice I stopped after ‘day 3′). I must say I’m proud of myself, I so many things done, among them is getting my craft cupboard tidied up, and the stationery drawer cleaned! The room looks neat and spacious now! Yay!

Anyway, I wanted to show you these really wonderful food we had for our Easter lunch.

Some time in the year are much more wetter than other, while some time in the year can be slightly cooler than other time, the temperature ranges from 28 to 38 degree celcius. But don’t get me wrong, 28 degree celcius is still very warm (and humid)! It’s not like in Holland or Scotland where 28 degree celcius you can still be shiver without a light windbreaker.

Anyway, I have a secret. Actually I have a few secrets. I can’t share now because it is a secret… but I will soon. It’s some things I am making. Soon.

I think most of you already know that google retired the Google Friends Connect for wordpress in Nov 2011, and in replacement created this thing Google+. So guess what yours truly here didn’t know about this until just a few weeks ago.

Yada yada yada… to cut the cerita (story) short… I lost all my network on my Google Friends Connect. See the box on the right of this site that says “my friends”… KOSONG!!!! (empty!!!)… my beratus-ratus kawans all lost… (( don’t know where to find them back… macam mana oooo????

And because of that I created the FB pages lah… want to use the Google+ also don’t know if can trust or not… nanti kaput like the Google Friends Connect apa macam? So I think FB more stable and at least I know how to use it mah…

Google did say can import my network using API… but WHAT is API… api? fire? Ini yours truly mmg not savy in all this stuff so lantak lah I don’t want to try. Biar cam tu sj, I will use my FB to network.

So, this is what I made for dinner yesterday. Cinamon pork ribs (lots of sauce cos my family loves sauce, a true nyonya way of eating is to drench your rice in sauce! )

And okra in oyster sauce with lots of garlic.

All that cooking done while I baked my Kuih Lapis (layered cake). Bila senang nnt I post the recipe for the cake. Yo people, good night!

Another craft bazaar in town ^^

Whoopie!!!

It’s been ages since I visited a craft bazaar, usually put off by the crowd and heat.

But this time, I’m making a point to attend.

So, I love Merlin, Supernatural, Harry Potter (yes these are movies), Ones Upon a Time, Grimm, Ghost Whisperer… and when I start watching, I want to watch all available seasons from the begining to end, and I want to watch them all at one go. I am too impatient to wait for next week for a new episode to come out. So I usually compile them. I watch like 10 episodes (or 1 season if available) at a go. Those days are what I call “my movie marathon days”. It’s usually a day of pyjamas and comfort food, no make up, untidy unwashed hair. Oh, I so love those days. Those series takes up permanent residence in my being, for days after my movie marathon, my mind floats around as if I am part of the cast.

Recently I’m into Ones Upon a Time and Grimm. There’s a problem here. These are series are ongoing, so that means I have to wait like 1 month to get about 4 episodes to watch. Hmmph!
