I’ve been craving for chocolate moist cakes since last Sunday… yesterday was a disappointment because my sister promised to bring home some cakes and when she came home… NO CAKE !!!

So today, we’re going out to get the cake!!!!

Meanwhile, I am the happiest girl at home today… beeee-cossss I got new stash of fabric {enough to share some in my shop!…}.

Some updates …

I’ve started sewing again… {with my machine}… I realised I got too used to using the “hand button”, that today I decided to use the stepper (is that what we call it?), and my hands and legs just don’t coordinate well. I don’t know if you understand what I’m trying to say hahaha… Oh well, I made a few bags with my very limited Japanese tenugui fabric . Will post photos later, as I am too lazy to get my camera out now.

The past weeks has been crazy! Filled with preparing for this very very important presentation for my day job ~ the BIG DAY is tomorrow. Fingers cross, that the “panel of judges” approve us to present our strategy to the board… this will bring a lot of savings to the category *fingers cross…please please please*

Back to some lighter {and craftier} subject, I’ve been making lots and lots and LOTS of my kawaii sticker tapes!!! Love them, and they are easy to make.

Meanwhile, I haven’t stop my “spring cleaning” yet… it has been going slow, a little at a time… and before I could finish another section of my room, I’ve managed to mess up the one I cleared earlier *hah!*

But something good came out of this… I will soon have a “jumble sale” online… of all the unused goodies I have been stashing in my craft room !!! How about that? Look out for it ya…

This is what I’ve been up to since yesterday. Cutting and cutting lots of square blocks for a 2 projects. And I got a new rotary cutter (the blue one)!! It is small and cute… and it comes with perforated blades too! Yay!

Can you imagine.. from my many years of sewing this and that… it’s only now I started using rotary cutter. And they are super wonderful!

Oh.. did I mention… those grid rulers up there… they’re new too! My cousin Annette ordered online for me. Thanks Annette! Double YAY!

In the mean time… what’s taking up my tiny creative space are 40 spools of crystal thread… which was delivered today. They are for my other project at church ~ Rosary making ~ one of our BEC is making 1200 Rosaries to be donated to people in Russia and Afrika. Tomorrow we’re be packing them up and distributing to volunteers to make the Rosaries !

I also printed more of my Whimsy Loft labels… this time I tried a new print-on fabric from Japan. Will list this fabric in my online shops as soon as the stock comes in!

Meanwhile remember this post… well all 3 bags have arrived at their destinations, and I can now reveal what is inside.

The largest pack was for niece Lucy… which includes this little turtle… stuffed with polyfill and rice and have my initials on her!

In the bag there is also 2 dresses (one made by me), some cute spoons, and a hanky and sling bag made by me. I hope you like them Lucy !

The other 2 bags are for my 2 blog friends who won the OWOH giveaway I joined back in February.

These beads are so pretty and not too costly. They are plastic pearls… basically plastic beads made to look like pearls. They come in strings and strings of white beads which has been “dipped” into the colour of choice.

I choosed mauve and peach… and to make up the rest of the Rosary strings… I choosed tiny shell/cream coloured beads.

They’re so pretty… that Scout cannot help but “spy” while I was counting and packing…

I wish I can pack them up in nice fabric bags… but our budget doesn’t allow it… well nevermind… !

Each kits has 59 rosary beads (coloured beads) and about 150 tiny beads, approximately 2.5 metres of monofilament thread and of course the center piece & cross. (these kits here don’t have the center pieces and crosses yet… still waiting for supplier to deliver).

For those of you in Malaysia, anywhere around Petaling Jaya, feel free to come for our free Rosary making class (you just need to buy the kits!) on 22nd and 29th May in SFX Church.

I won’t say I haven’t thought about buying a new machine, but it’s just that I haven’t thought about buying it as much as I expected to have thought about buying before I bought :p Haha…

Boy I sure have a lot to learn… upgrading from this old mama to this new baby sure made me realise that I have a huge “sewing machine generation gap” to close.

Old mama needs a rest, she’s been needing service more often than usual… but still reliable when you need her.

Now, the new babe in town is all set and ready to rat-a-tat-tat! Looks like I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon learning how to rat-a-tat-tatting!!
